He writes crime the way Lochdam wears its autumns — the light failing early, the woods gone still, and the cold settling in to stay. Lochdam is his first work: a five-book series set in 1991, in a small town in the Washington Cascades, a few hours east of Seattle.
The story keeps its secrets the way the town does — patiently, and never for free. The author would rather be found in the pages than announced on the cover.
